Usually covered with ‘skeins’ or twisted willow rods during basket making, the Basket Handle is a foundation part of most baskets. Woven mostly from Salix Purpurea ‘Green Edna’ rods which should dry light green and beige. This very pretty ornamental is supplied with a 15 to 18 inch ‘stem’ in a contrasting colour willow.
