Stephen Forrest grows basketry willows on his small farm in Port Alberni BC .
The aim of the business is to improve the availability and appreciation of willow as a viable craft product for everyday household use on Vancouver Island and in British Columbia, Canada.
To do this, Stephen is growing nearly 20 varieties of willow on the farm. We are selling both dormant cuttings in the spring each year and live sapling plants in buckets throughout the year.
To support your immediate weaving projects we also sell dry harvested willow rods. These, plus pre- shaped frames, hoops and handles, make weaving materials for people to learn to make baskets, ornaments, trivets and other household items.
