Willow basket frames are bent and dried as green rods (fresh harvested).
Basket Frames are used as the base for many traditional designs of baskets, trays and ornaments and as such form the foundation for the shapes and strength of the basket being made.
Basket Frames typically require an odd number of frame pieces per item being made – 3 – 5 -7 or more depending on size and design of the basket being made.
Our basket frames can be trimmed to size or a desired curve depending on the basket or item being made. They cannot be made larger and often cannot be bent with radically twisted or ‘shrunk’ diameters once dried. We can of course, take a special order for next year for anything we do not have in stock.
