The Willow Basket Handle is a ‘Handle Bow’ made of willow rod. Dimensions are approximately 10″ wide by 12″ high.
Usually covered with ‘skeins’ or twisted willow rods during basket making, the Basket Handle is a foundation part of most baskets.
These handle bows are made of ‘brown’ willow, dried with the bark intact. Depending on variety used, the colours will vary from dark brown to golden umber.

Willow Weaving Rods
$12.00 "+ GST"Dried (brown) willow weaving rods with their bark left on are prepared by the purchaser for use in making woven baskets, decorative household and garden items as well as sculptures and furniture. The dry rods need to be re-hydrated in a water bath, trough, stream or pond for approximately 1 day for every foot of length.
